Something for the world
Australia’s ex-pat population have made the leap. They’ve travelled for studies, for work or for love and they’re calling Australia home. Until now, we’ve heard loud and clear that Beem It’s identification requirements have been a bridge too far. A passport, plus Aus docs meant that users were stuck chasing up funds and paying back mates with cash (which isn’t recommended since COVID). But good news is here.
Beem It can now accept documents from 14 countries worldwide to compliment an overseas passport.
That’s right! The Beem It team have been making improvements over COVID and making payments can now be done with more friends, even our ex-pats from overseas, who now call Australia home. This change comes from you Beemers wanting it. On average the Beem It team receive approximately 50 customers a week trying to sign up using overseas identification, or asking how their overseas friends can get on. It shows how much the team truly are listening and care about what customers want (That’s right, emails to support@beemit.com.au don’t just disappear. They actually influence what we do!)
We thought we would go one step further to show you how much we truly care about ensuring you get the payments you’re owed from you ex-pat friends living in Australia. We’ve collated the list below of all the different ways you can say “request” to help you finally get paid back. It’s only fair that you start requesting the money you're owed now that your international friends can sign up to Beem It and why not do it in their language in a payment description. You could finally get paid back for those South African flag crocs you bought your mate when he blew a plugger last year by requesting in Afrikaan.

Beem It making it easier for people from more countries to sign up is an exciting one for me, that just may get me into homeownership quicker. I’ll finally be able to ask my UK and Kiwi mates (who live in Australia) for the money they owe me (don’t judge, I’m a rugby player and happen to have a few Kiwi and English mates in AU) They’ll have no excuse to not pay me back instantly through Beem It after I front up for the first post-COVID beer and burgers.
If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can improve connecting with each other, whether it’s an app innovation or something we could do at work we would love to hear from you. We're working harder than ever to ensure you continue to have the best Beem It experience possible. Please share any other ideas that you would like us to incorporate into our next blog post here support@beemit.com.au
